O'Some Café
Mainly a Coffee shop placeAbout O'Some Café:
"Unique options, tasty bites and a friendly staff."
"Adorable coffee spot on Main Street, great pastries made onsite"
"Also the price is reasonable, cheaper than Starbucks in my opinion."
This is a hidden gem. The service might be a little slower at times because it is such a small joint. But do not let that deter you from a phenomenal cup of coffee or treat. The cold brew is OUTSTANDING, it speaks for itself and I could drink it black it is so smooth.
🔥☕ I was presently surprised by how delicious the iced latte here was. This is one of the best lattes I've had in a while. So far I've stopped at 7 coffee shops in the Boston area and this one had the best coffee. Update: stopped in one more time before heading out of town. Excellent. Hole in the wall third wave coffee shop, for taking your coffee in the go (but two stools remain if you want to take a seat). The espresso was a lighter roast with excellent notes. Fresh made pastries was very good as well. Blueberry lemon scone and banana bread are great. Vanilla lattes use simple syrup with some vanilla bean powder. Unique and great.
I really want to like this place but the coffee simply is not good and the staff isn't friendly. I'm shocked by the good reviews. Came in for the last time last week with my stroller and barely was able to get through the door. When I finally was able to get inside I was greeted by FOUR employees watching me struggle to get through the entrance. Perhaps consider helping your customers and they may have a more positive experience?
Got the Strawberry Matcha Latte (with skim milk) and Matcha Yuzu Tea. The former was way too milky and basically tasted like strawberry milk. After mixing the contents, the latte looked greyish and it was clear they used matcha concentrate because you don’t taste the earthy matcha flavor. However, the matcha yuzu tea was nice and refreshing. I liked the yuzu flavor in it.
Cozy little coffee shop that leans into trendy Asian-style lattes and house-made sweets. Recently dropped by and tried their Black Sesame Latte and Dalgona Latte. Both were great. The black sesame latte had a mellow, nutty sweetness that lingered pleasantly. The Dalgona latte felt more like a creamy dalgona milk, without being cloying. No weird dalgona chunks, no bitterness—just smooth, nostalgic comfort (at least for me who grew up eating these in elementary school). They also had some house-baked desserts on display. I grabbed a Vanilla Madeleine fresh out of the oven, and it was one of the best I’ve had in a while—crispy edges, soft and pillowy center, subtly sweet. They also offer chiffon cakes, though those require a two-day preorder (was told that they might randomly have it on some days). Definitely planning to come back to try those.
Small, cute cafe. Not really the place to sit but really enjoyed the tiramisu latte and going for a walk along the river to find a bench and enjoy the Yuzu pound cake. Strawberry matcha was too sweet, would not order that again. Lovely place.
Tiny shop with big flavors!!! My oat milk matcha with strawberry was delicious, and I had a fluffy, rice-flour (gluten-free) chiffon cake filled with red beans and a topped with a matcha cream. Delicious!!! They also have tiny cookie samples of their shortbread cookies. There are two seats along a bar at the window. The place is wholly accessible and local people post their businesses here so it has a very neighborhood feel to it!
I am obsessed with the coffee here. The flavors are unique and the drinks have just the right amount of sugar. My go-to is the iced double espresso with a splash of milk and salted toffee sauce topped with cold foam. The salted toffee is just so freaking good. Also the price is reasonable, cheaper than Starbucks in my opinion. The baked goods, however, were mediocre. The lemon blueberry scone was so stale and dry. It tasted like it’s been left out too long. I’ve always wanted to try the pound cakes but have not once seen them displayed in the store. There is also no seating inside fyi. Nevertheless, I do recommend this cafe for their drinks!
